Fool On The Hill

Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Performed by The Bealtes (although the video comes from Paul McCartney's Tripping the Live Fantastic Tour)

Day after day alone on the hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still,
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he's just a fool,
And he never gives an answer,
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.

Well on his way his head in a cloud,
The man of a thousand voices talking percetly loud
But nobody ever hears him,
Or the sound he appears to make,
And he never seems to notice,
But the fool on the hill...
Nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do.
And he never shows his feelings,
But the fool on the hill...

All You Need Is Love

Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Performed by The Beatles

Love, love, love.
Love, love, love.
Love, love, love.

There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game.
It's easy.

Nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time.
It's easy.

All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.

All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.

Nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.

All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.

All you need is love (all together, now!)
All you need is love. (everybody!)
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need (love is all you need).

Yee-hai!
Oh yeah!
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah.
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah.

Hooked On An Eight Second Ride

Written by Chris Ledoux
Performed by Chris Ledoux

Rollin' down a long highway
Out through New Mexico
Driftin' down to Santa Fe
To ride a bull in a rodeo
He's hooked on a feelin'
Addicted to a natural high
Don't know why it's appealin'
All he knows is he's got to ride

He's addicted to danger
Ruled by passion and pride
To pain and fear he's no stranger
But his lust needs to satisfied
Hooked on an 8 second ride

Gettin' up down in back of the chutes
Makes that rosin burn
He's got his spurs on the heels of his boots
He's at the point of no return
Climbing over that chute gate he settles down inside
The tension's risin' but he can't wait
Until they turn that bull outside

He's addicted to danger
Ruled by passion and pride
To pain and fear he's no stranger
But his lust needs to satisfied
Hooked on an 8 second ride
Hooked on an 8 second ride
Hooked on an 8 second ride

Fly

Written by Stan Frazier, Murphy Karges, Mark McGrath, Rodney Sheppard, Craig Bullock, Alan Shacklock, William Maragh
Performed by Sugar Ray and Super Cat

What it is! All nice and easy slip of the curl
This is Super Cat and Sugar Ray riding through
Spread your love and fly, fly
Spread your love and fly, fly
Spread your love and fly, fly
Spread your love and fly, fly

Sugar Ray:
All around the world, statues crumble for me
Who knows how long I've loved you
(Whoa, yesterday)
Everywhere I go people stop and they see
Twenty-five years old, my mother, God rest her soul
(Lord, have mercy)

I just wanna fly
(Uh, where you, uh, where you want)
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby
I just wanna fly
(Where you want, where you try, uh, where you want)
Put your arms around me, baby
(I, I, I w...w...would tell her, here, well
Spread your love and fly, oh, me, oh, my
Spread your love and fly, oh, me for I
Spread your love and fly, fly)

Dance a little stranger
Show me where you've been
(Say what?)
Love can make you hostage
Wanna do it again
(Word)
There's no time to think
'Bout the starting or the end
(Never)
We'll find out, I'm told
My mother, she told me so,
(Yeah, yeah, check it out)

I just wanna fly
(Higher, higher, higher, high, high, high)
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby
I just wanna fly
(Like a birdie in the sky up so high)
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby

I just want...
(Grow your wing and fly)
...To fly
(Uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, where you want)
(Uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, where you want)

Super Cat:
Love you, baby girl, love
And I'll tell no lie
All the women all be lovin',
They want to come a me I
Just like I,
And the they wanna fly
Me have a lovely girl,
I'm gonn' tell her bye-bye and
Grow your wing and fly,
Oh, me, oh, my,
Spread your love and fly, fly

It's chickadee time on the borderline
Don't tell a lie
Won't tell a lie, bye-bye
Bye-buh-buh-buh-bye
Bye-buh-buh-buh-bye
Sugar Ray:

All around the world, statues crumble for me
Who knows how long I've loved you
(Ain't my thing)
Everyone I know has been so good to me
(Hey, hear that)
Twenty-five years old, my mother, God rest her soul
(Lord, have mercy)

I just wanna fly
(Like a birdie in the sky up so high)
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby
(All night long)
I just wanna fly
(Higher, higher, higher, higher, high, high, high)
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby

I just want...
(Grow your wings and fly)
...To fly
(Uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, where you want
Try, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, where you want)
I just want...
(Spread your love and fly)
...To fly
(Uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, where you want
Try, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, wh-, uh, where you want)
Come on
(Try, uh, when you, wh-uh, when you young, yeah)
Buzz

I just wanna fly
(Like a birdie in the sky up so high)
Put your arms around me, baby
(High, high, high, high, higher than high)
Put your arms around me, baby
(Don't be shy, 'cause we all forget to fly)
I just wanna fly
(Like a birdie in the sky up so high)

All around the world, statues crumble for me
(High, high, high, high, higher than...a kite
Spread your wing and fly, oh, me, oh, my)
I just wanna fly
(Spread your wings and fly, give it up for I
Spread your wing and fly, oh, me, oh, my
Spread your wing and fly, because
Georgie Porgie,
Pudding and pie,
Kiss the girls...)

This Aint My First Rodeo

Written by Vern Gosdin, Hank Cochran and Max Barnes
Performed by Vern Gosdin

You say your mama called and you must go
She's down in the bed and needs you so
And you don't know if you'll be coming home tonight or not
Well honey ain't your mama sick a lot?

Lately your head hurts every night
Could it be you wear your clothes too tight?
But since you don't seem to hear a single thang I say or do
Then I guess there's nothing I can do for you

This ain't my first rodeo
This aint the first time this ol'cowboy's been throwed
This ain't the first I've seen this dog and pony show
This ain't my first rodeo

You're telling me you lost your wedding band
You say somehow it slipped right off yer hand
And when I asked about those boxes stacked there by the door
You say, it's just some old things you don't wear no more

I didn't make it all the way through school
But my mama didn't raise any fools
I may not be the Einstein of our time
But honey I'm not dumb and I'm not blind

This ain't my first rodeo
This aint the first time this ol'cowboy's been throwed
This ain't the first I've seen this dog and pony show honey
This ain't my first rodeo

This ain't my first rodeo
This aint the first time this ol'cowboy's been throwed

Majesty

Written by Martin Smith and Stu Garrard
Performed by Michael W. Smith

Singin' Majesty, Majesty
Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed but alive in Your hands
We're singing Majesty, we're singing Majesty
Forever, forever I am changed by Your love
In the presence of Your Majesty

We're singing Majesty, Majesty
Your grace, Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed but alive in Your hands
We're singing Majesty, we're singing Majesty
Forever I am changed by Your love
In the presence of Your Majesty, Majesty

Majesty, Majesty
Your grace, Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed but alive in Your hands
Majesty, Majesty
Forever I am changed by Your love
In the presence of Your Majesty

We praise You, oh God, lift up a new song
Oh we praise You, Lord, We praise Your name
You are the Father, You are the Father
Oh, we love You, we love You, we love You, oh oh
Oh, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

American Pie (The Day The Music Died)

Written by Don McLean
Performed by Don McLean

A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music used to make me smile
And, I knew if I had my chance that I could make those people dance, and...
Maybe they'd be happy for a while
But, February made me shiver with every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep - I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried when I read about his widowed bride
Something touched me deep inside the day the music died

So, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Did you write the Book of Love and do you have faith in God, above?
If the Bible tells you so
Now, do you believe in Rock and Roll? Can music save your mortal soul? And...
Can you teach me how to dance real slow?
Well, I know that you're in love with him, 'cause I saw you dancing in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes - man, I dig those rhythm and blues
I was a lonely, teenage broncin' buck with a pink carnation and a pickup truck, but...
I knew I was out of luck the day the music died

I started singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Now, for ten years we've been on our own and moss grows fat on a Rolling Stone, but...
That's not how it used to be
When the Jester sang for the king and queen in a coat he borrowed from James Dean
In a voice that came from you and me
Oh, and while the King was looking down the Jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned - no verdict was returned
And, while Lenin read a book on Marx the quartet practiced in the park, and...
We sang dirges in the dark the day the music died

We were singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Healter Skealter in the summer swelter - the Birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight Miles High and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass with the Jester on the sidelines in a cast
Now, the halftime air was sweet perfume while the Sergeants played a marching tune
We all got up to dance, oh, but we never got the chance
'Cause the players tried to take the field - the marching band refused to yield
Do you recall what was revealed the day the music died?

We started singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

And, there we were, all in one place - a generation Lost in Space
With no time left to start again
So, come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick - Jack Flash sat on a Candlestick, 'cause...
Fire is the Devil's only friend
And, as I watched him on the stage my hands were clenched in fists of rage
No angel born in Hell could break that satan's spell
And, as the flames climbed high into the night to light the sacrificial rite, I saw...
Satan laughing with delight the day the music died

He was singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

I met a girl who sang the Blues, and I asked her for some happy news
She just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store where I'd heard the music years before, but...
The man there said the music wouldn't play
And, in the streets the children screamed, the lover's cried, and the poets dreamed, but...
Not a word was spoken - the church bells all were broken
And, the three men I admire most: the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, they...
Caught the last train for the coast the day the music died

And, they were singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

They were singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die

Ride Like the Wind

Written by Christopher Cross
Performed by Christopher Cross

It is the night, my body's weak
I'm on the run, no time for sleep
I've got to ride, ride like the wind
To be free again

And I've got such a long way to go
(Such a long way to go)
To make it to the border of Mexico
So I'll ride like the wind
Ride like the wind

I was born the son of a lawless man
Always spoke my mind
With a gun in my hand
Lived nine lives, gunned down ten
Gonna ride like the wind

And I've got such a long way to go
(Such a long way to go)
To make it to the border of Mexico
So I'll ride like the wind, ride like the wind
Gonna ride the wind

Accused and tried and told to hang
I was nowhere in sight
When the church bells rang
Never was the kind to do as I was told
Gonna ride like the wind before I get old

It is the night, my body's weak
I'm on the run, no time for sleep
I've got to ride, ride like the wind
To be free again

And I've got such a long way to go
(Such a long way to go)
To make it to the border of Mexico
So I'll ride like the wind
Ride like the wind

And I've a long way to go
(Such a long way to go)
To make it to the border of Mexico
So I'll ride like the wind, ride like the wind
Gonna ride the wind

Ride, ride like the wind
Ride

Get Back

Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Performed by The Beatles

Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner
But he knew it couldn't last.
Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona
For some California grass.
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Jojo, go home
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Back to where you once belonged.
Get back Jo.

Sweet Loretta Martin thought she was a woman
But she was another man
All the girls around her say she's got it coming
But she gets it while she can
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Loretta

Your mother's waiting for you
Wearing her high-heel shoes
And her low-neck sweater
Get back Loretta,
Get back, get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.

Coca Cola Cowboy

Written by James Pinkard, Samuel Lee Atchley, Irving Dain, and Stephen Dorff
Performed by Mel Tillis

I called collect on the phone
You say you're tired and alone
But it sounds like someone else is lying there
She said don't call me no more
Don't you knock on my door
Its too late now, and I know you'll never change
She said....

(Chorus)
You’re just a Coca Cola cowboy
You got an Eastwood smile, and Robert Redford hair
But you walked across my heart like it was Texas
And you taught me how to say I just don't care

She said just leave me alone
And let me hang up this phone
Cause he'll see me cry, and think I still love you
Please don't call me no more
I changed the locks on my door
Its time you understood that we are through
She said....

You’re just a Coca Cola cowboy
You got an Eastwood smile, and Robert Redford hair
But you walked across my heart like it was Texas
And you taught me how to say I just don't care

She said...
You’re just a Coca Cola cowboy
You got an Eastwood smile, and Robert Redford hair
But you walked across my heart like it was Texas
And you taught me how to say I just don't care

Yes she taught me how to say I just don't care

Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)

Written by John Newton and Chris Tomlin
Performed by Christ Tomlin

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

[2x]
My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

Chains of Love

Written by A. Nugetre and Harry Van Walls
Performed by Erasure

How can I explain
When there are few words I can choose
How can I explain
When words get broken

Do you remember
There was a time ahaha
When people on the street
Were walking hand in hand in hand
They used to talk about the weather
Making plans together
Days would last forever

Come to me, cover me, hold me
Together we'll break these chains of love
Don't give up, don't give up now
Together with me and my baby
Break the chains of love

Do you remember
Once upon a time ahaha
When there were open doors
An invitation to the world
We were falling in and out with lovers
Looking out for others
Our sisters and our brothers

Come to me, cover me, hold me
Together we'll break these chains of love
Don't give up, don't give up now
Together with me and my baby
Break the chains of love
Together we'll break these chains of love

How can I explain
When there are few words I can choose
How can I explain
When words get broken

We used to talk about the weather
Making plans together
Days would last forever

Come to me, cover me, hold me
Together we'll break these chains of love
Don't give up, don't give up now
Together with me and my baby
Break the chains of love
Together we'll break these chains of love

Long And Winding Road

Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Performed by The Beatles

The long and winding road that leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before it always leads me here
Leads me to your door

The wild and windy night that the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears crying for the day
Why leave me standing here, let me know the way
Many times I've been alone and many times I've cried
Anyway you'll never know the many ways I've tried
And still they lead me back to the long and winding road
You left me standing here a long, long time ago
Don't leave me waiting here, lead me to you door

But still they lead me back to the long and winding road
You left me standing here a long, long time ago
Don't keep me waiting here (Don't keep me wait), lead me to you door
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Every Which Way But Loose

Written by Milton Brown, Stephen Dorff and Snuff Garrett
Performed by Eddie Rabbit

I've always been the kind of man
Who doesn't believe in strings
Long term obligations are just unnecessary things
But girl, ya got me thinkin
While I'm drinkin one more beer
If I'm headed for a heartache
Then why the hell am I still here

I'm testin my resistance
And it's wearin mighty thin
I've got the feelin I should leave
Before the roof caves in
My mind tells me to move along
But my body begs me stay
And now I feel the need to hold you close
And love the night away
While you're turnin me

Chorus:
Every which way but loose
You turn me
Every which way but loose
Inside the fire's burnin me
In my mind you just keep turnin me
Every which but loose
Baby there's no excuse
To turn me every which way but loose

When the sun comes up in the mornin
It should find me some place new
But right this minute all I want
Is to lay here next to you
Those memories still keep callin me
From somewhere in my past
Better hurry if they want me
'Cause I can feel me fadin fast
While you're turnin me

Repeat Chorus

Power of Love

Written by Huey Lewis, Chris Hayes and Johnny Colla
Performed by Huey Lewis and the News

The power of love is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
More than a feeling that's the power of love

Tougher than diamonds, rich like cream
Stronger and harder than a bad girl's dream
Make a bad one good make a wrong one right
Power of love that keeps you home at night

You don't need money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life
That's the power of love
That's the power of love

First time you feel it, it might make you sad
Next time you feel it it might make you mad
But you'll be glad baby when you've found
That's the power makes the world go'round

And it don't take money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden it can be cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life

They say that all in love is fair
Yeah, but you don't care
But you know what to do
When it gets hold of you
And with a little help from above
You feel the power of love
You feel the power of love
Can you feel it ?
Hmmm

It don't take money and it don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
Tougher than diamonds and stronger than steel
You won't feel nothin' till you feel
You feel the power, just the power of love
That's the power, that's the power of love
You feel the power of love
You feel the power of love
Feel the power of love

You Never Done It Like That

Written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield
Performed by Captain and Tennille

You're so terrific, ooh
You never done it like that
You've never been this way before
To be specific, ooh
You never done it like that
Who went and opened up the door?

Oh, my lips are burnin', yeah
You never done it like that
I thought the flame was dead and gone
Oh, but you've been learnin', yeah
You never done it like that
How long has this been goin' on?

Ooh, who's been teachin' you?
Hey, li'l old man, I wanna shake your hand
One kiss from you and I feel just like Columbus
I did discover you're some kind of lover

My mind is blowin', ooh
You never done it like that
You got me climbin' up the walls
Ooh, my love is growin', yeah
You never done it like that
You know you made me ten feet tall

Ooh, what you're doin'?
Ooh, what you're doin'?
Ooh, what you're doin'?
You never done it, you never done it
You never done it like that

Ooh, what you're doin'?
Yeah, what you're doin'?
What you're doin'?
You never done it, you never done it
You never done it like that

Oh, what a feelin', ooh
You never done it like that
Not since I can remember when
I'm on the ceilin', yeah
You never done it like that
Looks like we got it on again

Ooh, what you're doin'?
Yeah, what you're doin'?
What you're doin'?
You never done it, you never done it
You never done it like that

Ooh, what you're doin'?
Yeah, what you're doin'?
What you're doin'?
You never done it, you never done it
You never done it like that

Ooh, what you're doin'?
Yeah, what you're doin'?
What you're doin'?
You never done it, you never done it
You never done it like that

Ooh, what you're doin'?
Yeah, what you're doin'?
What you're doin'?
You never done it, you never done it
You never done it like that

Ooh, what you do?
Ooh, what you do?
Ooh, what you do?
Ooh, what you do?
Ooh, what you do?
Ooh, what you do?
You never done it, you never done it
You never done it like that

Houston (Mean's I'm One Step Closer To You)

Written by Larry Gatlin
Performed by Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers

Houston, Houston means
that I'm one day closer to you.
Oh, honey, Houston, Houston means the
last day of the tour and we're through

Well, honey,
You and God in heaven above
know I love what I do for a living, I do,
Ah, but Houston, Houston means
that I'm one day closer to you

Singin at the world's biggest rodeo show
was a great time for me and the guys
Ah, but when I'm a way from you, honey,
time always never flies

Sleepin' alone in the holiday hotel
sure can make a cowboy blue
But here I am in Houston
and I'm one day closer to you.

Houston, Houston means
that I'm one day closer to you.
Oh honey, Houston, Houston means the
last day of the tour and we're through

Well, honey,
You and God in heaven above
know I love what I do for a living, I do,
Ah, but Houston, Houston means
that I'm one day closer to you

Goodbye Earl

Written by Dennis Linde
Performed by the Dixie Chicks

Mary-Ann and Wanda were the best of friends
All through their high school days
Both members of the 4H Club
Both active in the F.F.A.

After graduation Mary-Ann went out
Lookin' for a brand new world
Wanda looked all around this town
And all she found was Earl

Well, it wasn't two weeks after she got married
That Wanda started getting’ abused
She put on dark glasses, long sleeve blouses
And make-up to cover a bruise

Well, she finally got the nerve to file for divorce
She let the law take it from there
But Earl walked right through that restraining order
And put her in intensive care

Right away Mary-Ann flew in from Atlanta
On a red eye midnight flight
She held Wanda?s hand as they worked out a plan
And it didn't take ?em long to decide

That Earl had to die
Goodbye, Earl, those black eyed peas
They tasted alright to me Earl, you’re feelin’ weak
Why don’t you lay down and sleep, Earl
Ain’t it dark, wrapped up in that tarp, Earl

The cops came by to bring Earl in
They searched the house high and low
Then they tipped their hats and said, "Thank you, ladies
If you hear from him let us know?

Well, the weeks went by and
Spring turned to summer and summer faded into fall
And it turns out he was a missing person
Who nobody missed at all

So the girls bought some land and a roadside stand
Out on Highway 109
They sell Tennessee ham and strawberry jam
And they don't lose any sleep at night

Cause Earl had to die
Goodbye, Earl, we need a break
Lets go out to the lake, Earl, we’ll pack a lunch
And stuff you in the trunk Earl, well, is that alright?
Good, let’s go for a ride, Earl, hey

Well, hey, hey, hey
Oh, hey, hey, hey
Well, hey, hey, hey

Ants Marching

Written by Dave Matthews
Performed by Dave Matthews Band

He wakes up in the morning
Does his teeth bite to eat and he's rolling
Never changes a thing
The week ends the week begins
She thinks, we look at each other
Wondering what the other is thinking
But we never say a thing
These crimes between us grow deeper

Goes to visit his mommy
She feeds him well his concerns
He forgets them
And remembers being small
Playing under the table and dreaming

Take these chances
Place them in a box until a quieter time
Lights down, you up and die

Driving in on this highway
All these cars and upon the sidewalk
People in every direction
No words exchanged
No time to exchange

And all the little ants are marching
Red and black antennas waving
They all do it the same
They all do it the same way

Candyman teasing the thoughts of a
Sweet tooth tortured by the weight loss
Programs cutting the corners
Loose end, loose end, cut, cut
On the fence, could not to offend
Cut, cut, cut, cut

Take these chances
Place them in a box until a quieter time
Lights down, you up and die

It's A Long Way There

Written by Graham Goble
Performed by The Little River Band

Hey everybody yeah, don't you feel that there's something?
Feel it, feel it?
Hey everybody yeah, don't you feel that there's something?

People on their own are getting nowhere,
I am on the road to see,
If anything is anywhere and waiting, just for me.

Everynight I walk around the city.
Seems like I'll never know,
That feeling of being together when I go.

And it's a long way there, it's a long way to where I'm going,
And it's a long way there, it's a long way to where I'm going.

Hey everybody, don't you feel that there's something, but you know
In a moment it is gone.
I live for the day when I can hear people saying that they know and
They care for everyone
But I feel like I've been here for the whole of my life, never knowing
Home.

It's a long way.
It's a long, long, long way there,
I'm gonna keep on tryin',
I'm gonna keep on tryin', yeah,
I'm gonna keep on tryin',
I'm gonna keep on tryin', ah!

Been away from home for such a long time,
And got to know this town,
But I don't seem to matter much to anyone, who's around
Is there anybody around?

Everynight I walk around the city,
Seems like I'll never know,
The feeling of being together when I go.

And it's a long way there, it's a long way to where I'm going,
And it's a long way there, it's a long way to where I'm going.

Everybody knows it’s a long way there,
Oh, everybody knows it’s a long way there.
Mmm, it’s a long way

Driving around’s kind of getting me down and I know, and I know
It’s a long long way there
It’s such a long long way, long way

Hey everybody yeah,
Don't you feel that there's something?
Feel it, feel it?
Hey everybody yeah,
Don't you feel that there's something?

Sesame Street

Written by Joseph Raposo and Luis Santeiro
Performed by Sesame Street

sunny days
sweeping the clouds away
on my way to where the air is sweet
can you tell me how to get
how to get to sesame street
come and play
everything's a-okay
family neighbors friends
that's where we meet
can you tell me how to get
how to get to--
sunny days
sweeping the clouds away
on my way to where the air is sweet
can you tell me how to get
how to get to sesame street
come and play
everything's a-okay
family neighbors friends
that's where we meet
can you tell me how to get
how to get to sesame street
how to get to sesame street
how to get to sesame street
how to get to sesame street

Hearts and Bones

Written by Paul Simon
Performed by Paul Simon

One and one-half wandering Jews
Free to wander wherever they choose
Are travelling together
In the Sangre de Cristo
The Blood of Christ Mountains
Of New Mexico
On the last leg of the journey
They started a long time ago
The arc of a love affair
Rainbows in the high desert air
Mountain passes slipping into stones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Thinking back to the season before
Looking back through the cracks in the door
Two people were married
The act was outrageous
The bride was contagious
She burned like a bride
These events may have had some effect
On the man with the girl by his side
The arc of a love affair
His hands rolling down her hair
Love like lightning shaking till it moans
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
And whoa whoa whoa
She said:
Why?
Why don't we drive through the night
We'll wake up down in Mexico
Oh I
I don't know nothin' about nothin' about
No Mexico
And tell me why
Why won't you love me
For who I am
Where I am
He said:
'Cause that's not the way the world is baby
This is how I love you, baby
This is how I love you, baby
One and one-half wandering Jews
Return to their natural coasts
To resume old acquaintances
Step out occasionally
And speculate who had been damaged the most
Easy time will determine if these consolations
Will be their reward
The arc of a love affair
Waiting to be restored
You take two bodies and you twirl them into one
Their hearts and their bones
And they won't come undone
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones
Hearts and bones

Nothing's News

Written by Clint Black
Performed by Clint Black

I spent my lifetime wishin' the waitress would come around
Tellin' jokes and shootin' pool on the other side of town
When the whistle blows at five o'clock there's only one place I'll be found
Down at Ernie's icehouse liftin' longnecks to that good old country sound

Chorus:
And talkin' 'bout the good old times
Braggin' on how it used to be
But I've worn out the same old lines
And now it seems nothing's news to me

There's nothin' like a steel guitar cryin' in the night
There's nothin' like a sawdust floor and a good old friendly fight
I'd finally find my way back home and you'd patch up my face
But that was another time and another place

Chorus

I wonder how I came to be the know-it-all I am
And how the world ever got used to me
And now we're talking 'bout the good old times
Braggin' 'bout how it used to be
But I've worn out the same old lines
And now it seems nothing's news to me.

Seein' My Father In Me

Written by Paul Overstreet and Taylor Dunn
Performed by Paul Overstreet

Last night we brought the children by to visit their grandpa
And it's plain to see they're truly part of him
While we were there their grandma took out some old photographs
Man he sure looked a lot like me back then.

I'm seein' my father in me, I guess that's how it's meant to be
And I find I'm more and more like him each day
I notice I walk the way he walks I notice I talk the way he talks
I'm starin' to see my father in me.

And today I took my wife for a walk down that old dirt road
Where my daddy took my mom so many times
And we found the time to mention things we never had before
And we shared some thoughts about the family life.

Yeah, I'm seein' my father in me, I guess that's how it's meant to be
And I find I'm more and more like him each day
I notice I walk the way he walks I notice I talk the way he talks
I'm starin' to see my father in me.

And now looking back I can recall the times we disagreed
When I could not take gold of his old fashioned ways
And the more I tried to prove him wrong the more I proved him right
Now I know why he still stood by me when I went through that stage.

I'm seein' my father in me, I guess that's how it's meant to be
And I find I'm more and more like him each day
I notice I walk the way he walks I notice I talk the way he talks
I'm starin' to see my father in me.

And I'm happy to see my father in me...

Crocodile Rock

Written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin
Performed by Elton John

I remember when rock was young, me and Suzie had so much fun
Holding hands and skimming stones
Had an old gold Chevy and a place of my own
But the biggest kick I ever got was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock
While the other kids were Rocking ‘Round The Clock,
we were hopping and bopping to the Crocodile Rock
Well, Crocodile Rocking is something shocking when your feet just can't keep still
I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will
Oh lawdy mama, those Friday nights when Suzie wore her dresses tight and the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

But the years went by and the rock just died
Suzie went and left us for some foreign guy
Long nights crying by the record machine
Dreaming of the Chevy and my old blue jeans
But they'll never kill the thrills we've got burning up to the Crocodile Rock
Learning fast as the weeks went past
We really thought the Crocodile Rock would last
Well, Crocodile Rocking is something shocking when your feet just can't keep still
I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will
Oh lawdy mama, those Friday nights when Suzie wore her dresses tight and the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

Things We Said Today

Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Performed by The Beatles

You say you will love me
If I have to go.
You'll be thinking of me,
Somehow I will know.
Someday when I'm lonely,
Wishing you weren't so far away,
Then I will remember
Things we said today.
You say you'll be mine, girl,
Till the end of time.
These days such a kind girl,
Seem so hard to find.
Someday when we're dreaming,
Deep in love, not a lot to say,
Then we will remember
Things we said today.
Me, I'm just the lucky kind,
Love to hear you say that love is luck.
And though we may be blind,
Love is here to stay, and that's enough
To make you mine, girl,
Be the only one.
Love me all the time, girl,
We'll go on and on.
Someday when we're dreaming,
Deep in love, not a lot to say,
Then we will remember
Things we said today.

Show Me The Way

Written by Wardell Potts, Jr., Joseph Gallo and Susan Pomerantz
Performed by Peter Frampton

I wonder how your feeling
There's ringing in my ears
And no one to relate to 'cept the sea
Who can I believe in?
I'm kneeling on the floor
There has to be a force
Who do I call?
The stars are out and shinning but all I really want to know, "Oh, won't you show me the way, everyday?"
I want you, show me the way, yeah

Well, I can see no reason, you living on your nerves when someone drops a cup and I submerge
I'm swimming in a circle
I feel I'm going down
There has to be a fool to play my part
Well someone thought of healing but all I really want to know, "Oh, won't you show me the way, everyday?"
I want you, show me the way
I want you, day after day

I wonder if I'm dreaming?
I feel so unashamed
I can't believe this is happening to me
I watch you when you're sleeping and then I wanna take your love
Oh, won't you show me the way, everyday?
I want you, show me the way (One more time)
I want you, day after day
Hey, I want you, day after day, hey

I want you, show me the way, everyday
I want you, show me the way, night and day
I want you, day after day, hey, ooh

I Will Survive

Written by Frederick Perren, Dino Fekaris, Pierre Hauters, and Peter Keereman
Performed by Gloria Gaynor

At first I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
Without you by my side
But then I spent so many nights
Thinking how you did me wrong
And I grew strong
And I learned how to get along
And so you're back
From outer space
I just walked in to find you here
With that sad look upon your face
I should have changed that stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
You'd be back to bother me

Go on now go walk out the door
Just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
Did you think I'd crumble
Did you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
Oh as long as i know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
And I'll survive
I will survive (hey-hey)

It took all the strength I had
Not to fall apart
Kept trying hard to mend
The pieces of my broken heart
And I spent oh so many nights
Just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
But now I hold my head up high
And you see me
Somebody new
I'm not that chained up little person
Still in love with you
And so you felt like dropping in
And just expect me to be free
And now I'm saving all my loving
For someone who's loving me

Go on now go walk out the door
Just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one who tried to break me with goodbye
Did you think I'd crumble
Did you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
Oh as long as i know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
And I'll survive
I will survive
